  • Q1: Who can participate?
    • The participants from Tamil Nadu State Government Autonomous, Government Non-Autonomous, Government Aided, Self-financing (Autonomous, Non-autonomous) engineering colleges which are affiliated to ANNA UNIVERSITY and deemed to be universities are eligible to participate.
  • Q2: What is the size of the Team?
    • The team consists of at least one member and a maximum of three.
  • Q3: How can I get the venue details for the presentation at the spoke centre?
    • The presentation schedule and hall details will be posted on the noticeboard on the college premises.
  • Q4: Is accommodation provided?
    • Yes. Accommodation will be provided at each spoke center, subject to the minimum rate for food and accommodation.
  • Q5: Do I need to bring the laptop?
    • Yes. You must present the developed 3D model/coding with the laptop to the jury members during the presentation.
  • Q6: Do I need to bring the prototype?
    • Prototype is not mandatory. However, you could bring your prototype if you made it.
  • Q7: What is the duration of the presentation?
    • The maximum duration allowed is 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Q8: Can I participate in multiple titles under a theme for presentation?
    • No. You cannot register more than one title under a theme for presentation.
  • Q9: Can the same project be submitted at multiple spoke centres?
    • No. The same project idea cannot be submitted at multiple venues. Each project submission must be unique to a single spoke centre. Duplicate submissions of the same project across different venues will be disqualified during the screening stage. The venues are

  • Q10: What happens if the same project is submitted to more than one spoke centre?
    • If a project is found to be submitted to multiple spoke centres, all related submissions will be rejected. TANCAM reserves the right to verify project originality and enforce this rule to ensure fair participation.
  • Q11: Can I get the participation certificate?
    • Yes. Participants who have registered and presented will receive certificates of participation.
  • Q12: Where can I get the PPT format?
    • You can download the pre-formatted PPT template from our website and customize it with your unique insights and ideas to showcase your project on the theme.
  • Q13: How many slides can I keep in the PPT?
    • The maximum number of slides is not more than 10 slides.
  • Q14: Is there a registration fee to participate?
    • No, there is no registration fee required to participate in the hackathon.
  • Q15: What should the theme of my project be?
    • The theme for the hackathon will be announced in advance. Participants must ensure their projects align with the themes provided and meet the specified requirements.
  • Q16: How will the projects be evaluated?
    • Projects will be evaluated based on innovation, technical complexity, usability, presentation quality, and how well they align with the theme. The jury will provide feedback and score each project.
  • Q17: Will there be mentorship available during the hackathon?
    • Yes, mentors will be available at each spoke center to guide participants and provide support during the event.
  • Q18: What should I do if I face technical issues during the event?
    • If you encounter any technical difficulties, please inform the event organizers immediately. Technical support will be available at each spoke center.
  • Q19: Can the project be a group effort with students from different colleges?
    • No, the team members must belong to the same college. However, you may collaborate with fellow students from the same institution.
  • Q20: Can I bring additional resources, such as external devices, tools, or materials?
    • Yes, participants are encouraged to bring any tools or resources that may aid in the development or presentation of their projects. However, any hardware or equipment used should be compatible with the venue facilities.
  • Q21: Can I submit my project before the hackathon date?
    • No. All projects must be presented during the scheduled hackathon day. No submissions before the event are allowed.
  • Q22: What if I cannot attend the event in person on the scheduled date?
    • Participants must attend the event at their chosen spoke center. If there is an unavoidable circumstance, please contact the organizers well in advance to discuss possible solutions.
  • Q23: Are there any prizes for winners?
    • Yes, there will be prizes for the winners. Details about the prizes will be announced on the event day.
  • Q24: Can I present a project that has been worked on before the hackathon?
    • Yes, you can present a project that was started before the hackathon, but it must be further developed or modified to fit the hackathon theme.
  • Q25: Can I share my project on social media?
    • Yes, participants are encouraged to share their experiences on social media, but please remember to adhere to the event's guidelines for professional and respectful communication.
  • Q26: Can the project involve a group of participants from different academic years?
    • Yes, participants from different academic years can be part of the same team, as long as all team members are from the same college.
  • Q27: What should be included in the final presentation?
    • The final presentation should include an introduction to the project, its purpose, technical aspects, challenges faced, and a demonstration of the project or prototype (if available). Ensure that all information is presented clearly within the allotted time frame.
  • Q28: Can I make changes to my project during the hackathon day?
    • Yes, you can make changes or improvements to your project on the day of the hackathon before your presentation. However, please ensure that the project is ready for presentation within the allotted time.
  • Q29: Is there a dress code for the event?
    • While there is no strict dress code, participants are encouraged to dress in smart casual attire for the event. Please ensure that your attire is comfortable and appropriate for a professional setting.
  • Q30: Will there be any post-hackathon networking opportunities?
    • Yes, after the event, there may be networking sessions, where participants can interact with mentors, judges, and other participants. These sessions will provide an opportunity to share ideas and discuss future collaborations.
  • Q31: Will the hackathon be recorded or live-streamed?
    • Yes, the hackathon may be recorded or live streamed for public viewing. Participants will be informed in advance if the event is being recorded or streamed, and consent will be obtained for any such activities.
  • Q32: Is there any restriction on the domain or technology used for the project?
    • Students may choose any sub-sub theme of their own interest. However, the selected sub-sub theme must be aligned with the main theme. The main theme, sub-theme, and sub-sub theme details are available on the TNWISE 2026 website.
  • Q33: Can a team change its members after registration?
    • No. Team member changes are strictly not allowed once the registration is completed.
  • Q34: Can I switch my spoke centre after registration?
    • No. Once a spoke centre is selected and registration is completed, requests to change the venue will not be entertained.
  • Q35: Can industry-sponsored or externally funded projects be presented?
    • Yes, provided the project aligns with the hackathon theme and the student team has full rights to present the work.
  • Q36: Will feedback be provided by the jury after evaluation?
    • Yes. Jury members may provide brief feedback during or after the presentation to help participants improve their projects.
  • Q37: What happens if a team arrives late for the presentation slot?
    • Teams arriving late will be allowed to present only until the first round of presentations is completed. After the first round concludes, late arrivals will not be permitted to present.
  • Q38: Can a team present using videos or simulations instead of a live demo?
    • Yes. Videos, simulations, and recorded demos are allowed, especially if a live demonstration is not feasible.
  • Q39: Are interdisciplinary projects allowed?
    • Yes. Interdisciplinary projects are encouraged, provided they align with the announced theme and team eligibility rules.
  • Q40: Will local transportation be arranged for participants on the event day?
    • Local transportation will be arranged only if the organizers (host college) have made such arrangements.
  • Q41: Where can I get information about the local transportation service?
    • Details regarding local transportation services will be shared through the official WhatsApp group, which will be created closer to the event date.
  • Q42: Can participants arrive at the spoke centre the previous day?
    • Yes. Participants who have opted for accommodation may arrive as per the accommodation check-in schedule communicated by the organizers.
  • Q43: Will accommodation be provided for the next day of the event?
    • Yes. Accommodation for the next day of the event will be provided based on availability. Participants must opt for next-day accommodation during registration to be considered.
  • Q44: Can participants request accommodation on the event day if they did not opt during registration?
    • No. Requests for accommodation will not be entertained if participants did not opt for accommodation at the time of registration.
  • Q45: Do I need to bring my college ID card?
    • Yes. Bringing a valid college ID card is mandatory.
